It’s always fun for me to relive my weddings and engagement sessions at the end of the year. It’s also such a challenge to pick a few favorites from everything I have photographed. I really do feel like I have an amazing job! I document some amazing real-life moments for people in love and their families. I can’t tell you enough how much I love witnessing and observing the moments around me. It’s cliché, I know, but I do cry at every wedding. However not always at the same moment, a some weddings it’s during the ceremony, sometimes during first dance and ever since I became a mother, usually during the parent dances, I’m a mess. I know what I am documenting that day and how important it is as once a bride myself. Now as a parent, documenting a wedding day has also changed me, I know how emotional that day can be, and even more important as a wife, because in marriage you need GREAT memories documented of your first day as husband and wife. I wish all my couples a beautiful wedding day, but more than anything I want them to have a strong and happy marriage. Which is why getting to know them is soooo important to me, so I can document their wedding in the right way. I view a day so differently when I learn about them and know what has bought them to this point in their lives. I’m passionate about this, can you tell? HA!
